kdb crashes system if breakpoint is taken in module code

Hi,

I set a break point in some code that is in a module. I took the break
point. The system hung. Sometimes the system will get into kdb on the
breakpoint but crash on leaving kdb. Sometimes it just hangs going into
kdb. I'm running with 2.4.7-10 kernel and using kdb version1.8.

I'm just wondering had any one came across this type of problem.
