I am running Linux 2.6.22.19 with the kdb-patch, on an embedded device. I am connected to the device via serial port as that is the only interface available, other than Ethernet. When my kernel boots up I see the following message " kdb has no working console and has switched itself off". And whenever, I try echo "1" > /proc/sys/kernel/kdb I get the same message. Why is the kernel disabling it? What do I need to enable in the kernel? TIA! Regards, Hasan R. --------------------------- Use http://oss.sgi.com/ecartis to modify your settings or to unsubscribe. |
