compiling oiv on rhel3

Hi,

I just tried compiling oiv on rhel3 and it failed with the following:

/usr/bin/g++        -DLIBRARYBUILD -I/usr/X11R6/include -I.

I rememeber seeing a patch that was used on the src for some of the more 
recent versions of linux but couldn't find it on the oss site.  Any 
suggestions?  John
