remote rendering

Hi,

I am currenly using sgi Inventor to display some graphics. If I set the display
for the application to any other hardware except an SGI machine or an HP Linux
workstation with fx10 graphics the inventor-Widget is just black. Is this a
known bug/feature ? Would it work better when using the Open Source Version of
Inventor ? Or am I stuck totally ?
