Dear Developers :
The problem I have with open inventor is that when I start SceneViewer
with any of the provided demo *.iv files and try to print ether to ps, jpeg or
rgb the whole x windows system crashes. Same with any programs that use the
SoOffscreenRenderer.h. For example the 09.1.Print.c++ program in the
OpenInventor/inventor/apps/examples/Mentor/C++ directory. There are no
problems with SceneViewer when I am displaying any of the iv files in the
/usr/share/data/models.
I have a computer with Linux Redhat 7.3 with the 2.4.18-3 kernel. This
computer also has the NVIDIA GeForce2 Go 100 card with 32MB of memory. I am
able to get 1024x768 display with the Depth of 16bp and Sync frequencies are
HorizSync 31.5 48.5 kHz, VertRefresh 50-90 Hz.
I have installed the rpm binary packages of the OpenInventor :
