Actually there was a bug in nautilus that i only recently fixed that 
prohibits even unmounts from nautilus to work. Unfortunately the fix is 
for nautilus 2.0.x (gnome 2), so it won't work in redhat 7.3. Right now i 
see no better solution than killing nautilus.
