I'm sorry... I couldn't resist, I have to get E17 going... I know this
subject has been exhausted to DEATH!! but ... being a complete newbie (...
I'm a fairly quick study though... I just need a hint to get me started :) )
and having read most of the RH7 and imon threads here is my big
QUESTION(S)!!!:
1) How do I patch the kernel with imon... I know of the little hack,
compelements of Malte, where trimode is changed to bool, and I'll keep that
in mind... The problem is, I have to confess, I've never dared to compile a
kernel myself let alone patch the source before doing so... :( I don't know
how to use patch files for that matter... ( it just keeps getting worse
doesn't it... )
2) So what's the final verdict on setting up xinetd.conf properly ? ...all I
have to do is create the /etc/xinetd.d/sgi_fam as shown once again by Malte
?
