The source tree (in particular the RPM stuff) has been described as suboptimal. The man pages may also have the wrong location (I think they reference /usr/etc/fam, and fall in a different section than they should). I'd be happy to work with you to fix these, or any other, problems.


The RPM parts are just crap. That is not how RPMs are built. I had to add a patch to the RedHat rpm that just removes all of that...

It's clear that the RPM gear is no good, especially now that RH7 wants xinetd. I'd rather spend my limited time maintaining FAM itself.

Anyone object if I remove them from the tree?
