sourceforge and 2.6.10

It seems like no development is happening against the 2.7.0 codebase that's
currently in sourceforge. However, I think we've seen two or three patches
to 2.6.10.  I think we should remove the code in sourceforge now, commit the
2.6.10 codebase, apply the patches (e.g., dnotify), and publish a 2.6.11.  

I am happy to do the leg work of the removal, reseeding with 2.6.10,
applying the patches, and helping with the release.
