That's why I've been asking myself in the last time, too ... I had a short
look at dmSDK, but if there is no support from SGI to continue
development (especially no CVS access and no active developers to take
patches, either), I don't see any reason to learn dmSDK (except for
learning how to implement OpenML drivers) - if you only want to program Linux
applications it is better to have a look at GStreamer (www.gstreamer.net),
anyways ...
