Mandrake was one of the first distros to use it (in 8.0 IIRC). The first
attempt was a disaster, but since then we learned a bit :)

It is easy to screw up things when you use devfs. Basically, you should not
mess up with /dev unless _absolutely_ necessary and you _do_ know what you
are doing.
