Hello,
I was informed by someone that devfs might help me get linux to see more
than 16 partitions on my scsi drives. I have installed the patch,
recompiled, etc. from information in the FAQ and my system didn't want
to boot at all after that. The system is a RedHat6.1 (which I have
upgraded glibc to 2.1.3 per FAQ). The problem was with the /dev/md??
device drivers. I have 9 mirrors, and for each and every one of them,
the raidstart command said "illegal argument". Is there an easy way to
fix this problem so I can boot up and give things a shot?
I also noticed that in my /dev/scsi/....../part?? there were only 16 of
them. Is devfs still limited to the number of partitions I can have on
my drive?
Thanks for the help,
Tom
