I hear rumours that ide-scsi is going away in 2.5. So I'm going to
take the lazy way out and say to wait for ide-scsi to be
replaced/obsoleted.

Anyone really wanting a solution to this in 2.4 can code up a patch to
the IDE code which creates devfs entries regardless of whether
ide-scsi has "captured" a device.
