Hi, I'm using the 2.4.0 kernel with devfs. I compiled in cpuid and msr. I expected /dev/cpu/0/cpuid and /dev/cpu/0/msr to be created automagically, but they are not. (This causes the powertweak daemon to spew out many error messages at boot time because it tries to read from /dev/cpu/0/cpuid, which is what got me looking into this). I don't know if this is a problem with cpuid/msr, devfs or my expectations. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Duncan Sands. |
