I've just got devfs working and fixed or kludged away a few problems, but there
is one that I can't fix: non-root users cannot open a terminal session in X.
When they try, they get an error saying that if kernel 2.2.x and glibc 2.1.x
are in use, then the UNIX98 pty stuff is likely misconfigured. It works fine
for root, and all users can login at the console and over the network.

I have followed the devfs documentation as closely as possible. I went through
the install section a few times before and after installation. I really don't
know what I missed. I do know that devpts stuff is not in the kernel and is not
mounted.

My system is running an updated RedHat 7.0 setup, including XFree86 4. The rest
of the details are:

Linux Atlas 2.4.0-test11 #7 SMP Sat Dec 9 18:45:08 CST 2000 i686 unknown

Thanks for any help.
Have fun!
