Let me respond to my own question here.
DEVFSD seems to compile fine in a RH6.2 based system with 2.4.0-test11, but has
the problems I mentioned in an earlier note in a RH7.0 sytem with the same
2.4.0-test11.
I guess Ill write this off as just one more problem with RH7.0 and stop
waisting my
time with it. This is not the FIRST problem Ive had with RH7.0 (sigh).
