 Supporting that 'legacy' OS is a major part of my job ( and for many
others I expect).
 If it wasn't for Samba I would have had to become a 'MicroSerf' years
ago and switched to only doing Micro$oft servers to continue being a
Sysadmin.

 I would expect the single biggest use for Unix servers now is being a
file server to that 'legacy' OS.

 Unfortunately, you can't ignore that 'other OS'.
