There are actually two kinds of "hosts": the build host that we build the compiler on, and the run host that we run the compiler on. Then there is the target, which is what the compiler targets when it is run. BUILD_HOST is for the build host, BUILD_ARCH is for the run host, BUILD_TARGET is for the run target.
