XFS for Linux Release 1.0 differs from Pre-release 0.10 in the following ways:
XFS 1.0 provides a complete implementation of filesystem quota. This includes support for both user and group quota, and unlike other Linux filesystems, quota information is considered metadata under XFS and is journaled. Due to the higher level guarantees of consistency this provides, there is no need for the use of quotacheck(8) with XFS filesystems.
The Linux quota user tools now provide complete support for XFS filesystems (see the Linux DiskQuota Summary page) in addition to numerous bug fixes from earlier releases.
