Nathan and I have been talking about changing the name of the "linux-xfs" on oss to just "xfs". Since there is enough interest outside of linux, specfically at the moment the FreeBSD port and possibly the Mac port in the future. We would create an alias that would direct linux-xfs -> xfs so people wouldn't be to lost or confused by the change. The only real change that might have to happen on the part of list members would be any filter rules that key on linux-xfs. Please let us know if this change would cause any great hardships? Also we will probably drop the linux-xfs-announce list since that list has no traffic what-so-ever. -Russell |
