Sorry, somehow this did not make it to my inbox, but I saw it on the web archives...

Hi,

We are using XFS on an Mailserver. We have a strange Problem which could
be tracked down to Filesystem or Hardware level.

The Problem:
Some of the stored mails get`s mixxed with various contents of the
Filesystem or other Mails. The Files "look" normal dumped with "od" - no
strange content. This Problem could be reproduced. If we send and
massive amount of Data slighly smaller than Blocksize some of the
generated Files gets mixxed.

For starters, what is the blocksize on your filesystem? xfs_info /mount/point will tell you.

I would guess that this is stale disk date coming through, but not certain. I've seen something like this but only when block size < page size.

But the default block size is 4k, and it also looks like you are running on a 4k page system, correct?
