I haven't been doing that until it checks out clean. Or is there some other way to rename the lost+found directory? > Also that xfs_repair is not the -very- latest version.... Should I try 2.7.3 or something else? Confusingly, the "latest" and "Release-1.3.1" directories hold 2.5.6, "testing" holds 2.6.4 and 2.6.13 and it's the plain ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/cmd_tars directory which holds 2.7.3.
