Hello people,
I'm the maintainer of the disk section of Source Mage GNU/Linux. I
recently had trouble with compiling xfsprogs and xfsdump with gcc >=
4.0. I finally found that it were already corrected in CVS HEAD [0], and
indeed that worked. :-)
But this is not what I'm writing here. In the same time, I noticed that
Christoph Hellwig mentioned in this same bug that packagers should
ALWAYS use latest CVS HEAD. As our distribution is source-based, I
wonder if it is really a good idea to use a cvs checkout for such a
critical software. At this time my Project Leader asked me to remove the
CVS checkout option and only propose the tarballs (respectively 2.6.25
and 2.2.25).
Could you clarify this situation please ??
Thanks a lot.
