This is resolved in more recent kernels, your options would be to
move up to SLES9 or to attempt to backport current XFS CVS code to
SLES8 kernels.  SLES8 precedes SGIs direct involvement with XFS on
SLES, so I'm not sure what shape that code base is in (but I would
imagine it wont have been getting all of the fixes that are merged
in the current SLES9 series).
