sgi isn't providing any 2.6-based kernel rpms at this point; most linux
distributions already do that now. I'd look at the various distros (or
beta releases of distros) if you need precompiled 2.6 kernel rpms.

The kernel needs to be for SMP and hugemem (64GB). I have installed 2.4.20-20.9.XFS1.3.1smp, which was not compiled for hugemem, from an rpm package on your download site.
