Sure enough...it would appear that it's the web server:

[mburger@burgers mburger]$ dd if=/dev/zero of=./bigfile bs=1M count=2600        
2600+0 records in
2600+0 records out

[mburger@burgers mburger]$ ls -l bigfile
-rw-rw-r--    1 mburger  mburger  2726297600 Nov 18 15:18 bigfile
