I've encountered a really strange bug that appeared in 2.6.9-rc3 (I
previously had 2.6.9-rc2). I'm running FC2. When booting the machine with the kernel parameter 'quiet' the kernel is unable to mount the root XFS partition. It just gives error 19, says something about trying to kill init, then panics. Since 'quiet' is used I do not get any decent output. Removing the parameter makes the problem go away. Without debug output I don't really know how to determine what's wrong. Perhaps someone who knows what has been changed recently can have some ideas? Rgds Pierre Ossman PS. I'm not subscribed so please cc me. |
