The filesytem block size limitation is that the block size must be <= page size. So, if you have a Linux box that supports 16k pages, then you can use up to 16k filesystem blocks on that machine. IA64 boxes do support 16k pages. Opteron machines don't.

Regarding cxfs, you probably need to talk to your cxfs support folks about that. :)
