I am interested in tracing entries in the Linux 2.4.27 Changelog to
actual code changes. Is there any ~easy way to do that? Is there an list
that ties fixes to code -- an "errata list" perhaps.

The question arises because I have experienced an unexpected loss of
data (on 2.4.26 kernel) without any good clues except for a message
including "xlog_recover_process_data: bad clientid".

In searching for this error message I recall seeing suggestions that
there was nothing much that could be done except run xfs_repair.

But, upon performing an xfs_repair ... the entire fs was cleared-out
when it finally finished <pout>.

It would be "somewhat soothing" to find there were recently-fixed
problems conceivably related to our data loss.

I would much appreciate any answers being directly cc'd to my email, as
I am not presently "on the list".

Thanks,
..jim
