I have updated a few RPMs from
http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.6/RPMS.kernel/ and it's working fine
(except for the kernel problems). 

There were also a suprises with 2.6.6 and nfs-utils-1.0.6-21EL:

But the 2.6-kernel is an exciting thing to run.. I was looking forward
to Linus handing it over to someone more stability-oriented, but that
doesn't seem to be happening..
