The sync option in /etc/fstab can achieve this I believe ; I did not tested it myself. Regarding performance, yes, it slowed down writes, but I prefer a slower system, with consistent files, as my users do. BTW, it is only when creating numerous files in a short time, like when extracting tar files, that our server slows down. Regards. -- Nicolas |
