Well, I think I have managed to fix the problem. The solution involved recompiling my Highpoint Controller card driver using the XFS CVS Kernel source. The key here was to use the CVS source I'm sure. I'm not exactly sure how this has fixed it but the usual cycle time of 30mins before the filesystem forcefully unmounted is no more. 2.5 hours worth of uptime, with the drives running at about 500kb/s, files being created and deleted, uploading test 1gb random data files then deleting them has resulted in no errors whatsoever. Ill report back in a day or two to say if this has truly fixed things, I hope it has. Cheers, Tom |
