Summary: mkfs.xfs on md RAID5: MD array not in clean state
           Product: Linux XFS
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: IA32
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: High
         Component: xfsprogs
        AssignedTo: xfs-master@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: forrestgump2000@xxxxxxxxxxx

I'm trying to create an xfs filesystem on a RAID5 MD array.
I have successfully created the filesystem on a RAID1 MD array, but the RAID5
array gives:
MD array /dev/md2 not in clean state

When I check /proc/mdstat, it says:
md2 : active raid5 hdd4[2] hdb4[1] hda4[0]
      3838360 blocks level 5, 32k chunk, algorighm 2 [3/3] [UUU]

mdadm also says:
    State : clean, no-errors

I can create an ext3fs or reiserfs on /dev/md2 without problems.

I'm using xfsprogs 2.9.3 on Gentoo 2400.1 using kernel 2.6.5
(gentoo-dev-sources)
