Hi all,

I've been searching archives for this problem, and I have found many similar
reports, but none that match my circumstances...Ill explain.

Firstly I am using a 2.4.26 kernel with LVM, and XFS enabled. Im using LVM
v1.3.1, and the XFS included in the kernel.

I have 4 drives off a highpoint IDE controller card, the drives being listed
as /dev/sda to /dev/sdc.

This is a sample of a very large kern.log full of errors

problem(s)

I'm combining the drives together in a single logical volume.

I have done a badblocks read-write test on all of the drives and nothing
shows up, so the drives are not at fault as far as I can tell.

The system keeps going for 30mins and then unmounts as per the log above.

One small note here...what is 8:30?? I have looked in /proc/partitions but
it is not listed, nor can I find it in my
linux-2.4.26/Documentation/devices.txt.

The only way I can get it to work again for 30mins is to reboot, and while
booting up the system scans and repairs the filesystem for an unclean mount.

Im stuck here as I do not know how to fix this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Tom
