Arrr, read the error message too fast, it is indeed correct. Sorry.

My xfsprogs is to old, this option isn't available. I am going to upgrade this 
package as soon as possible. Thanks.

After this issue, I decided to change the sector size from 4096 to 512.
I encountered no problem with the mkfs. However, when I wanted to mount the 
device, I got the following call trace in dmesg :
