I'm running 2.6.3 (2.6.3-7mdk to be exact), I'm not "using" quotas (although 
they are enabled in the kernel) and got xfs_fsr to hang. KMail also hung, but 
not at the same time. They also (AFAICS) were working on different partitions. 
 
I then ran xfs_repair on / and it discovered errors which it repaired. None of 
the other partitions had any errors. Whether these errors were there before or 
is a result of xfs_fsr hanging I do not know. 
 
There was little load on the system at the time and I have run xfs_fsr many 
times with the same kernel and also under more load and the system had not 
crashed since the previous successful defragmentation attempt.
