It would be interesting to rebuild xfs_repair with an edit
to phase6.c, to print out the inode number (ip->i_ino) and
ip->i_d.di_size to see why it's allocating so much...
with the inode number in hand we could take a closer look
at the inode in xfs_db.  Just an idea... 

Did you have some very large files on this filesystem?
It looks like the size it wants to allocate is relative
to the number of bytes in the file...
