I've got lots of the cramax (3 bay units in service) maybe like 15 or 20.
I had one go bad and got an advanve replacement out of them. YMMV.

The 3ware bayes are very solid, the RDC-400 is a 4 bay in 3U hot swap
chasis.
You might see what http://www.scsi4me.com has, despite the cheasy name
the've been a good vendor for disks, controllers and tidbits and rock
bottom prices.
