Hi,

I encountered a strange thing. My RH7.3 linux with 2.4.18 kernel, which
has been running fine in the past 3 months, after a reboot (issued by me)
stopped at the following lines:

XFS mounting filesystem md(9,3)
XFS: WARNING: recovery required on readonly filesysten
Starting XFS recovery on filesystem: ...
Ending XFS recovery on filesystem: ...
VFS: mounted root (xfs filesystem) readonly

< hang , nothing happens, cursor blinks. At CTRL+ALT+DEL, the system
reboots, and the raid arrays are stopped/flushed. IT is not a complete
'freeze' of the system.

I booted in a recovery CD, and checked the xfs root filesystem; it
reported a few lines of inconsitencies. Then I repaired it, mounted it
from the recovery CD with no problem (2.4.22 kernel, other XFS version).

Now I thought the problem is solved ...
But it isn't, because after reboot (now not from the CD, but again from
the disk with 2.4.18), the system stops at the same place:

XFS mounting filesystem md(9,3)
VFS: mounted root (xfs filesystem) readonly
<hang>

Now no warnings are reported, just nothing happens...

Let me know if you have any suggestion how to recover.

Cheers
Gaspar
