Hi.

Hi Folks,

Is there any chance that Anaconda will allow XFS to be installed in the
same fashion as reiserfs/jfs or via the Anaconda gui like we do for EXT3
et al.

You cannot create XFS partitions with anaconda but you should be able to install over previously created XFS partitions using 'linux xfs' at the boot prompt when installing.

N.Emile...

That's a load of crap. The latest anaconda can install on XFS although it only understand the 2.6 kernel. Yes, you use the "linux xfs" trick but you can install on it as long as the kernel supports xfs which the fedora testing ones do.

On a sidenote - anyone waiting for FC1 with XFS support I've been
working my ass off on it and am currently using the beta anaconda
installer (albeit pretty hacked by me to support 2.4 and other
things) so something is brewing. No timescales or anything. Only
that it's on the way.
