When i said 'linux' i was referring to linux distros in general, i wasn't
trying to equate redhat to linux, it just so happens that i use redhat.
Looks like FC2 is the closest answer, for now .. time to contribute.
I have the problem that my redhat linux ;) box has XFS filesystems on all
partitions, thanks to the SGI supplied RH7.3 installer. Now that i want to
upgrade, i'm caught. I was hoping i could do some tricks by installing stuff to
the 1GB swap partition, recompiling kernels and so on, but could never come up
with a working process.

The original poster made the common error of equating "Linux"
solely with "Red Hat," and Red Hat is indeed pretty much the last
distro that has no xfs support.

for a list of distros that have supported xfs for quite some
time now.
