I just got this error on a plain IDE hardrive. XFS, with Kernel
2.6.0-test11. I had a lockup because of an IRQ conflict with my USB2
controller. I had a high load, started to swap, tried to kill
evolution, and the Interrupt took my box. The entire UI deadlocked, but
the box would still ping. =(. No ssh, so I reset, and went to my
secondary system. [The hdg2, on a HPT370 controller]. I started to
xfs_repair my main fs because I had a LOT going on when I rebooted. I
started copying files off of my camera hard drive over USB2 again.
Halfway throught Phase 3, I locked up - had to be the new card.

Now I dropped back to my rescue partition, and did an xfs_repair on the
main fs, [hda7]. When finished, I rebooted to the main system, mount &
umount sdg2, then xfs_repair. Repair went fine, dead files, but nothing
serious. Then about ten minutes later, while emerging 'kino' [on that
fs]:

Filesystem "hdg2": xfs_log_write: reservation ran out. Need to up reservation
xfs_force_shutdown(hdg2,0x8) called from line 1739 of file fs/xfs/xfs_log.c.
Return address = 0xc020b8c4
Filesystem "hdg2": Corruption of in-memory data detected. Shutting down
filesystem: hdg2
Please umount the filesystem, and rectify the problem(s)
xfs_force_shutdown(hdg2,0x2) called from line 1321 of file fs/xfs/xfs_log.c.
Return address = 0xc020b8c4

I do not know what it means to 'up reservation'. I will google, but I
felt this was worth posting. Other details needed?

thanks,
  Joshua
