Have you used xfsrestore -if $xfsdumpfile to look inside the file to see
if the data is intact.
It isn't enough to run backups, it is necessary to check them regularly to
make sure you can get good data out. If the most recent xfsdump is
corrupt then look at the one taken previously.

Developers looking at the problem will probably want the kernel version &
version of xfs in use as well.
