Hi, I think I've found the problem with xfsdump. 2.2.14 when used on completely different hardware (IBM Netfinity - 20GB Seagate DAT) has the same problem. 2.2.11 does not. Looking at the changelog, I see a "fix" for multiple dumps on the same tape in 2.2.13. This fix appears to allow infinite dumps onto one tape, however only the first one and the last one are permanent ;-<. This is a pretty serious regression. It munges your backups and you won't find out until you try to restore. Cheers, Jeremy Jackson |
