Nathan, I took a look at xfs_log.h from CVS and I'm not sure that's the
issue. I'm using this version of gcc:

gcc (GCC) 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice)

The lines in xfs_log.h seem to only affect 2.96. Could this still be an
issue? Should I try the 2.96 code?
