Problem regarding XFS allocation group

Hi all,

 In XFS,whole file systen is divided into number of
 allocation groups.
   Is there any function by which we can access the
allocation group(or can we get pointer to allocation
group)?
   
 Is there any metadata for that allocation group?
 
 one more thing ,Can u please tell me the concept of
file extent map?
