Please start with a version of xfsprogs that is not 1.5 years old...
xfsprogs is now at version 2.5.4.

you can find it under ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/cmd_rpms/
or ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/cmd_tars/
