Summary: linux kernel 2.5.73 / xfsprogs 2.3.9 fails on striped
                    devices with 2K block size
           Product: Linux XFS
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Low
         Component: xfsprogs
        AssignedTo: xfs-master@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: chrisf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have a Medea disk array which can be configured to have a 512 or 2K block
size. The array appears as a single device and I can can create xfs file systems
on a single device in either mode. When I take two disk arrays, use mkraid to
stripe them together and attempt to create an xfs file system on /dev/md0,
mkfs.xfs fails with I/O errors unless the device have been configured with a
block size of 512.
