Hello, I've got a couple systems running Red Hat 7.1 with XFS 1.0.1 (using the pre-built kernel supplied by SGI, 2.4.3_SGI_XFS_1.0.1). I would like to upgrade the kernel to a more recent version to solve some problems, like to 2.4.19. Will I break anything by compiling a new 2.4.19 kernel from the source and applying the patches for 2.4.19 for XFS?? If this would work, can somebody tell me which patches to use on 2.4.19 (i.e. which ones are known to be the most stable)??? Thanks in advance... -- Chris |
