Nope, it seems to work for me on a mostly normal RH8 box.  dmesg below.

I'll have to grab the srpm later and play with it.. unless you happened to
build the NTFS and UFS fs modules.  (I'm testing various backups and
restores on this box.. I should probably make sure xfsdump and friends are
up to date.)
